Turn long videos into short clips with AI

Paste a YouTube link or upload a video. OmniChrome transcribes it, finds the moments most likely to perform, reframes them to vertical 9:16, and burns in word-timed captions — ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

Long video in, short clips out

One pipeline from source to post — no timeline scrubbing, no manual captioning.

1

Paste or upload

A YouTube link, a stream VOD, a whole playlist (up to 25 videos in one batch), or an MP4/MKV/WebM/MOV upload.

2

AI finds the moments

Transcription, moment scoring and vertical reframing run automatically. Tell it what you want in plain English — it steers which moments get picked and how titles are written.

3

Review, polish, post

Ranked clips arrive captioned, with titles, descriptions and hashtags drafted. Download, schedule, auto-post — or finish in the built-in editor.

What every clip comes with

The details that usually cost a second tool or an hour of manual work.

Word-timed captions

Eight caption styles, each word lighting up as it's spoken — and you can restyle a clip after it renders, no re-run.

Vertical 9:16 reframing

Automatic reframing for TikTok, Reels and Shorts from widescreen sources.

Titles & hashtags drafted

Every clip arrives with a title, description and hashtag set, ranked by predicted performance.

Plain-English steering

"Only clip the interview", "keep titles professional" — an AI instructions box shapes selection and wording.

Scheduling & auto-post

Post to YouTube and X automatically, bulk-schedule a week of content, or let the auto-planner build the queue.

Transcripts included

Full transcript with every job — or run transcript-only mode on any video or audio file for TXT, SRT and word timings.

Not just a clipper

Most clip generators stop at the clip. OmniChrome includes OmniCut, a full multi-track video editor in the browser — masks, keyframes, color wheels, transitions, speed ramps, auto-captions — so the clip that's almost right doesn't send you off to CapCut or Premiere. (Though if you want your NLE, one click exports an FCP7 XML + SRT package for Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.)

And where most tools meter you by the minute, paid plans here are unlimited under fair use — clip as much as you like for normal creator and agency use, with failed jobs never counting against you. See how it compares to stacking Opus Clip with CapCut.

Common questions

What sources can I clip?

YouTube videos and playlists, stream VODs, and direct uploads (MP4, MKV, WebM, MOV). Audio files work in transcript mode. Details in the docs.

How long can the source video be?

Multi-hour VODs and podcasts are the normal case — that's what the tool is for. Clips themselves can run from a few seconds up to 15 minutes, set by a length slider.

Do I have to caption the clips myself?

No — captions are burned in automatically with word-level timing, and you can switch styles after rendering without re-running the job.

Can it post the clips for me?

Yes — auto-post and schedule to YouTube and X today (TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn connections are built and coming soon). Every clip also downloads as a standard MP4 for posting anywhere.

Is the free plan actually usable?

Yes: real clips from real videos every month, the full editor included, no card required. Free renders carry a small watermark — that's the only catch.
